a5c7b9f00b MI6's top assassin (Mark Strong) has a brother. Unfortunately for him, he's a football hooligan (Sacha Baron Cohen) from the town of Grimsby. Nobby has everything a man from the poor English fishing town of Grimsby could want - 9 children and the most attractive girlfriend in northern England (Rebel Wilson). There's only one thing missing in his life: his little brother, Sebastian. After they were adopted by different familieschildren, Nobby spent 28 years searching for him. Upon hearing of his location, Nobby sets off to reunite with his brother, unaware that not only is his brother an MI6 agent, but he's just uncovered a plot that puts the world in danger. On the run and wrongfully accused, Sebastian realizes that if he is going to save the world, he will need the help of its biggest idiot. A new assignment forces a top spy to team up with his football hooligan brother. For anyone that's read anything I've reviewed you'll be aware that I generally have a lot to say for myself, having watched Grimsby I must admit I'm left utterly speechless, there are truly few words I can think of. I genuinely can't decide if I loved it, or hated it, but I will try and reviewbest I can.

The best element of the film, Mark Strong, an awesome actor, not just the hard man, but truly versatile, and looking like he loved making this film. Toilet humour, plenty of it, at times I felt like I was watching a hybrid James Bond/Carry on film, it felt so 90's, which is no bad thing.

Cohen's character wasn't the greatest for me if I'm honest, his other creations are far more memorable. Worth watching for the ending, it's a movie you'd watch with your mates on a Friday night, with Pizza and enormous amounts of alcohol.

It's insane and enough to put you off safari forever, but some of the jokes are very funny. Few films make me laugh out loud but this certainly did. Sacha Baron Cohen seems to improve with each film. This had his usual down to earth humourwella full blockbuster feel that was missing in his previous ones. He has a knack of taking humour where no one has previously gone and it always seems to work. I have no idea where he gets his ideas from and only wish other comedians could find that place to. Fans of British humour and Sacha will not be disappointed. I am not entirely sure how well it will "translate" for the audience across the pond but hopefully they will get it to. Possibly the 2nd funniest film ever after the brilliant Kick-Ass. Can't wait for Sacha's next project. Grimsby fails in its satirical mission due to a hodgepodge of generic action and ill-advised comedy.
